A glimpse into the pain of apartheid and life in the Township



Pick up at place of residence and depart via South End for an orientation and overview of the history of the Bay and the City of Port Elizabeth. Follow the history of the first inhabitants, the Khoikhoi and the early European mariners, the Xhosa and Boers, the arrival of the British 1820 settlers and the development of Port Elizabeth while on a tour of the historical central area and the colonial and post colonial architecture and points of interest in the City.








We move on to New Brighton, the oldest township in Port Elizabeth and the thought provoking Red Location museum a memorial to the successful struggle.




On arrival we commence a guided tour of this award winning building. Afterwards we proceed to a tavern for a welcome drink with the local people while we observe the colourful, vibrant life in the township.waged for equality and democracy in South Africa.
