Bedford Garden Festival 2016

The famous annual Bedford Garden Festival will be held from the 21st to the 23rd October 2016 and is one of the most popular events in the Eastern Cape.

In Bedford and surrounding farm homesteads, splendid, private gardens are opened each spring, to the public. This is something not only for gardening enthusiasts but also for all those who appreciate the beauty of nature; this annual event is a highlight in these serene surroundings. The area is known for its fine roses, some of which grow nowhere else, yet flourish in many gardens throughout the town. There are also displays of wide herbaceous borders, gardening information on water features, planning of formal gardens, selection of plants, herbs and numerous other topics and displays.
